Castle View Enterprise Academy is a newly built multi million pound school for 11-16 year olds serving the areas of Castletown, Townend, Bexhill, and Hylton Castle in the city of Sunderland. 2016 saw the Academy utilise Calibre’s expertise to lead a comprehensive IT review that identified requirements around an enterprise grade network, as well as the need for senior level management support to provide strategic technological advice on a regular basis.
After completing an initial assessment/review of the school’s IT equipment and Wi-Fi, Calibre designed and implemented the initial phase of new enterprise grade managed services. Further phases of work are set to be delivered over two-years to improve the quality and reliability of the school’s network.
Calibre’s technical expertise and remote networking support will bring improved monitoring and identification of system performance, security and reliability issues over a long period. This is expected to maximise IT investment and provide efficiency and cost savings.
In turn, this will boost IT provision at the Academy with hundreds of students, as well teachers and admin staff, benefiting from improved access to state-of-the-art eLearning resources, which are integrated into a school-wide system and delivered across the network.
“Calibre impressed with a solution that will not only improve the quality of the network support we receive but also ensure our students continue to benefit from e-Learning in a safe and secure environment.”
Lee Anderson, leadership and business support manager at Castle View Enterprise Academy
