ENTERPRISING JOE BUILDS NETWORK SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

The future’s bright for Calibre’s young apprentice Joe Davies, who’s getting the dedicated support needed to succeed in his IT career.

After garnering praise as Baltic Training’s recent Apprentice of the Month, he’s taking the next important steps on the ladder to skills’ success with Calibre’s backing.

Directors Karen and Steve are investing in CompTia training in partnership with Baltic Training, which will see Joe equipped with the professional tools and capabilities in the latest networking technologies.

This will allow him to work closely with the Calibre team on designing tailored solutions that meet specific needs and deliver the efficiency improvements and performance benefits that are powering its clients forward to growth.

CompTIA is the leading provider of education for the world’s IT workforce and has four certification categories that test different knowledge standards, from entry-level to expert, in cloud computing, mobility, Linux, networking, security, storage, help desk and technical support, servers, project management and other mission-critical technologies.

Steve Nelson, operations director, said: “We are pleased that our partnership with Baltic Training is reaping rewards for Joe, this time improving his knowledge in the networking domain.

“CompTIA is a renowned name in global IT training and this is an excellent opportunity to build further our desire to create a pool of highly skilled, job-ready professionals in the North East.”

Joe said: “I’m looking forward to moving on to the next stage of my apprenticeship. It will give me really useful skills while my understanding of business and working with customers continues to develop.”

Looking further ahead, Joe is set to boost his knowledge even more with CCNA training – a move that follows Calibre’s success in achieving two of the leading Cisco awards, the Express Security Specialisation – NGFW, and Advanced Core and WAN Specialisation.

Apprenticeships are undoubtedly good for business – and that’s why Calibre continues to make the investment.
